Evaluation Studies On Urban Residents' Quality Of Life In Jiangsu Province

The research on quality of life has been closely related to the evolution of development, no matter when it is one-sided pursuit the concept of GDP growth in the early development days, or recently the concept of sustainable development for the people, as well as China put forward at this stage of people-centered scientific development and building a harmonious socialist society, and thinking a moderately prosperous society, human beings' own course of development of both introspection and vigilant has left a clear imprint in the course of the study the quality of life Every time. Between the end of the 20th century 80's and early 90's, the quality of life study was conducted from the West into China, And growing public health concern in the field of domestic sociology, economics, and scholars. This is due to the quality of life theory and research vision system is getting more mature and improvement, on the other hand, it is adapt to China's economic and social development.At present, Jiangsu Province firstly enter into basic realization of the modernization in the social development stage from the full realization of well-off society. According to Jiangsu Province is in a special geographical location, social background and human development environment, The evaluation and scientific analysis on living quality of urban residents in Jiangsu province, will allow residents to know the status of urban and social development, the quality of life of residents in the past changes and future trends. In addition, in order to improve the quality of life of residents of the policy proposals to provide a scientific basis, as well as provide reference for government departments to make the development strategy to improving the living quality of residents. At the based of research experience and results on research the quality of life both at home and abroad, Jiangsu Province, this paper will do some exploratory research on the living quality of urban residents.In this paper, based on overview the results of domestic and foreign scholars study on the living quality, the author build the quality of life evaluation index system from the demographic factors, economic factors, social factors, environmental factors such four areas of urban residents in Jiangsu province , using factor analysis and clustering analysis on the living quality for urban residents in Jiangsu Province, then had a horizontal, vertical comparative analysis, combined with the quality of life for urban residents in China's six developed coastal regions ,looking for Jiangsu Province position and their inadequacies. At the final analysis, the author summarize analysis results, and propose some countermeasures and proposals to improve the quality of life of urban residents in Jiangsu Province.Research shows that 13 cities in Jiangsu Province, there exists an obvious geographical differences between the living quality of urban residents from different region, the south in Jiangsu are well, the middle are poorer ,the north are backward, and this gap is widening by years; from the vertical point of view the time, Basically, the living quality of urban residents in Jiangsu Province has gradually increased, but the four fluctuation factors has their own characteristics in their development. Especially the environmental factors, firstly rise then decreased; compare with the six coastal developed regions, the living quality of urban residents in Jiangsu have their advantage at demographic factors, social factors, but about their economic factors, environmental factors, there is still a lot of inadequacies. As far as comprehensive quality of life, the gap between Jiangsu and Guangdong, Shanghai is relatively large; Finally, this author proposal some advice to improve the quality of life of urban residents in Jiangsu Province, their social harmony and development ,from the economic consumption, public construction, environmental management, science, education, etc.
