Meat is an indispensable consumer product in the life of residents.In recent years,with the increase in income,the gradual solution of the problem of food and clothing and the change of consumer preferences,meat consumption is facing new opportunities and challenges.Jilin Province is an important grain production base in China.Its superior geographical position and abundant feed resources have provided strong support for the meat industry,making Jilin Province a major meat production province in China,and its meat consumption changes for Jilin Province.Meat supply and even other domestic market supply have a certain impact.In this context,the status and influence factors of meat consumption and quality consumption of urban residents in Jilin Province were analyzed comprehensively and systematically,and relevant solutions were proposed according to the research conclusions,in order to improve the meat consumption level of urban residents in Jilin Province and optimize the consumption structure.It is of practical significance for further deepening the structural reform of the meat supply side of Jilin Province.Based on the in-depth field investigation,this paper analyzes the status and influencing factors of meat quantity and quality consumption of urban residents in Jilin Province by using comparative analysis method,field research method and measurement model analysis method.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)The per capita meat consumption in Jilin Province is clearly different between urban and rural areas.The per capita meat consumption of urban residents is significantly higher than that of rural residents,but the gap is gradually narrowing.With the continuous development of urbanization in the future,the meat consumption of urban residents in Jilin Province There is still a certain amount of room for growth in terms of quantity.In terms of consumption structure,pork is still the main meat consumption category of urban residents in Jilin Province,but the proportion of consumption has decreased,and the proportion of poultry meat consumption has increased significantly.The meat supply structure of Jilin Province needs to be further optimized.(2)The quality and safety of meat is the first consideration for meat consumption by urban residents in Jilin Province.Improving the quality of existing meat will promote the consumption of meat by urban residents in Jilin Province.61.63% of consumers said that if meat quality improved,they would increase the amount of meat purchased.Therefore,with the increase in income levels,the demand for quality meat by urban residents in Jilin Province will continue to increase.In the choice of meat purchase location,50% of the residents choose to buy in the supermarket,35.71% of the residents choose to buy in the farmer's market,14.29% of the residents buy in the meat store,the supermarket will become urban residents the preferred place to buy meat.(3)Judging from the influencing factors of meat consumption,the impact of food quality and safety incidents is the main factor affecting the consumption of meat in urban residents of Jilin Province.In the past,although income and price will still have an impact,it only affects the consumption of beef and mutton.This means that the consumption of beef and mutton is still a “normal consumer product” at the current income level,while the consumption of pork and poultry belongs to "Required consumer goods".The meat quality consumption of urban residents in Jilin Province is mainly affected by the per capita monthly income and the educational level of the decision makers.Per capita monthly income and dietary decision-makers have passed a significant test on the consumption behavior of high-quality pigs,cattle,sheep and poultry,indicating that the education level of income and diet decision-makers is the main factor affecting high-quality meat consumption.Factors,which also indicate that with the increase in consumer income and education level,urban residents in Jilin Province pay more attention to the quality of meat in the consumption of meat,and residents are willing to spend more money to buy good quality meat.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper proposes the following countermeasures from the aspects of optimizing meat consumption structure and improving meat quality: government departments need to separate the two groups of meat consumption and meat consumption and build meat health consumption indicators;further Improve meat quality standards,and integrate with the international;promote the meat food safety credit code system;improve the basic technology level of related enterprises;increase the amount of meat supply and optimize the supply structure through supervision and technological advancement of feed and veterinary drugs.
