But there are only a few researches of Shanghai tourism economic impact. This paper applies relative economics theories and uses qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze Shanghai tourism economic impact on economic development, which has important practical meanings to realize how many contributions the tourism economy have really made to the local economic development, to find out the problems and to raise the approaches to expand the tourism economic impact.To meet the need of this research, the content of Shanghai tourism economic impact is confined within income impact, foreign revenue impact, employment impact and industrial connection impact. The paper makes regression analysis of tourism revenue, tourism value-added, tourism foreign revenue and tourism employment, the results of which are that the income impact of Shanghai tourism is obvious but weakens gradually, the foreign revenue impact is obvious but not steady and the employment impact is not obvious. The paper studies the industrial connection impact of Shanghai tourism by input-output analysis, the results of which are that Shanghai tourism's drawing function to its following industry is big, but its promotion effect to advance industry is small, and the industrial connection impact is not displayed thoroughly. And then, the paper studies the restrictions of the income impact, the foreign revenue impact, the employment impact and the industrial connection impact of Shanghai tourism. The restrictions such as that the product structure of Shanghai tourism inclines, the consumption pattern of Shanghai tourism is unreasonable, the ability of tourism cooperation in Shanghai to make profits is not strong, technology advancement reduces tourism employment posts, the industrial connections between tourism and other industries are not very tight and ect. are found. At last, the paper gives some approaches to help Shanghai tourism economic impact to expand, such as improving the tourism product structure, optimization of tourism consumption pattern, constructing tourism matching facilities, cultivating comprehensive nature traveling group, developing tourism's new growth points, promoting the fusion of tourism and other industries and ect. All of the approaches above can make Shanghai tourism economic impact displayed thoroughly and help tourism to play a more and more important role in local economic development. At the same time, they can also promote Shanghai tourism's sustainable development.
