In the growth of modern economic, the importance of human capital factor is more and more obvious. In 2008, when the financial turmoil sweeping the world, the Chinese economy experienced the most great difficulties,the eastern coastal areas of export-oriented growth model was glissade at a high speed, but Mountain city of Chongqing has turned over a good answer sheet:in 2008,GDP growth reached to 14%, it was higher than the national average nearly five percentage points. As a Great Province in China, how about human capital, what kinds of trends and characteristics of economic growth, how to promote economic growth and raise the core competitiveness of the economy in Chongqing,they are the most important issues. Human capital is one of the key to promote regional economic growth, the level of human capital in Chongqing will be a powerful to promote regional economic development.After reviewing relevant classical theory, this paper,at first, analyzed the status of economic growth and human capital in Chongqing, and then set indicators based on human capital model. At the basis of Chongqing dates between 1996 to 2008, which are Time Series about the total of output,physical capital and human capital, this paper using SPSS calculated the regression equations with different models, empirical analysis the correlation between human capital and between economic growth. With the comparison of two groups of samples between Chongqing and Zhejiang, we found the relationship between human capital and economic growth., Analysis human capital and economic situation in Chongqing, we clearing the gap between Zhejiang and Chongqing in human capital.At the last of the article, combined with macro-and micro analysis, this paper give some relevant suggestions in terms of human capital accumulation, investment in fixed assets, employment capacity, technological innovation,for inproving the level of human capital and promoting regional economic growth,.
