Construction Project Management Study

Along with the rapid growth of Chinese economy, the construction loads and the investment of fixed assets are increasing more and more quickly. The construction project management is significant for the sustainable and healthy development of national economy. Based on the characteristics of construction project management, a new management method including time schedule management, cost control, quality control, risk management and safety management are discussed. As the method stated in this paper, the time schedule management is the masterstroke, the process of cost control is the core, the quality control is the mean, and the customers' satisfaction is the ultimate goal. As the problems showing in the sample construction company, the time schedule management was messy, the prediction of the project cost was weak, sense of cost control was lacked, and the quality inspection system was not implemented, and at last, lost of money due to lack of risk management. Basing on the analyzing of this sample Construction Company, system reform and renovation should be promoted. The case study has approved that the method raised in this paper is advanced and practical. And positive results could be reached from the project management promotion.
