Leagile Theory Based Research On Integrated Supply Chain Model And Performance Assessment System

Since the early 1990s, because of the acceleration of economic globalization as well as the development of science and technology, the customer demand has been greatly satisfied. Mean while, the demand of personalize products has largely increased, and the life circle of products has sharply decreased. The competition environment is now undergoing dramatic change. The concept of leagile supply chain generates under such conditions.Leagile theory based supply chain combines the strength of both lean production and agile manufacturing in purpose of satisfying the continuously changing customer demand and maximizing the economic profit. Due to the lack of related researches on supply chain management in China, how to apply proper strategies and method to achieve and evaluate this kind of integrated supply chain is becoming an issue needing to be solved.In this paper, firstly, the supply chain related concept is summarized and the significance of this research is stated. Secondly, the comparison of the characteristics of lean production and agile manufacturing is made, and then the similarity as well as difference between them is listed. Thirdly, the strategic model of lean and agile integrated supply chain and suitable evaluation system are established. Finally, an example is provided to prove the validity of the model and system mentioned above.There are some innovations in this paper. Firstly, according to lean and agile related concepts, the integrated leagile theory based supply chain is proposed innovatively. Secondly, considering of the characteristics of lean and agile supply chain, a suitable performance assessment system is established and then a validity and reliability testing method is introduced to guarantee the usability of the indexes of the assessment system.This paper also has some limitations, such as it cannot solve all the problems existing in supply chain system in China, but based on the combination of lean and agile concepts as well as the actual situation in China, a mathematical model is established in purpose of providing some useful suggestions to Chinese enterprises while facing supply chain related decisions.
