Study Of The Influencing Factors On Subject Leaders' Success Of Shandong Province

Objective To explore the influencing factors of the subject leader' success, so as to offer scientific and academic evidence for personnel, scientific research and educational departments to meliorate cultivate mechanism further. Discuss how to properly apply the statistic methods such as Exploring Factor Analysis and Conditional Logistic Regression in the process of appraisal and the items we should pay attention to.Method Using random stratified sampling technic, we selected the subject leaders and the commom scientific research personnel as the investigate objects. All the objects came from colleges or universities of Shandong province. The objects who obtained honorary titles were defined as experimental group, who didn't obtained honorary titles but same at the aspects such as age, working time, sex etc. were defined as controls group. The experimental and controls group were surveyed by uniform questionnaires on condition of 1:1 pairs design. The questionnaires on the influencing factors of subject leaders' successe including 29 items, which was designed by ourselves and composed by three parts.First, we tested the reliability and validity of the questionnaires designed by ourselves. Second, after checking the basic conditions of the Conditional Logistic Regression, all researching factors were conducted by such measures as the following: being valuated reasonably, filtering out the influencing factors by univarable Conditional Logistic Regression, data structure diagnosis, function transform, diagnosed and eliminated multicollinearity and Multivariable Stepwise Conditional Logistic Regression. Final, we filtered out the important influencing factors on subject leaders'success. established and evaluated the optimal regression model. The whole procedures were completed by SAS 8.0 and SPSS11.0.Results Chronbach's a coefficient of the questionnaires was 0.781>0.70, which indicates that the coherence reliability of the questionnaires is good. Factor Analysis indicates that the questionnaires still have satisfying structure validity. The univariable conditional Logistic Regression was carried according toα=0.10, and 16 suspicious factors were statistical significance. Processing Multivariable stepwise Logistic Regression analysis according to SLS=0.15, SLE=0.20, and 7 factors were included in the regression model, which were x3(education),x4(the title of a technical post),x6(knowing hot news of the specialty),x10(knowing puzzle and blank of the specialty),x18(exerting the ability),x20(according to one's interesting & fancy ),x25(type of character). After analysed the goodness of fit of the regression model, took specialty into account, and got rid of the effect of interaction. Final, we draw the conclusion that the regression model is the optimal model. This conclusion is beneficial to the related departments taking effective action to meliorate cultivate mechanism of subject leaders further.Conclusion 1. Study indicates that the influencing factors come from several aspects lead to subject leaders'success. Educational level,the title of a technical post,knowing hot news of the specialty,knowing puzzle and blank of the specialty,exerting the ability,according to one's interesting & fancy and extroverted character are benefit to the subject leaders' success. Therefore, actions should be taken to provide the developmental falt for them, including improving theirs' educational level,the title of a technical post, making them know more about the hot news and puzzle of the specialty, enhancing their working passion and interesting, cultivating their extroverted character.2. During the data processing we discussed the proper application of the statistic methods such as Exploring Factor Analysis and Conditional Logistic Regression. This will offer an instructive reference for similar scientific research work.
