The research purpose of this thesis is to deepen the theory of Earned Value method. The content is to integrate two important management tools in project management. That is CPM and Earned Value method. Because of Earned Value itself covering both of critical activities and uncritical activities and uncritical activities'Earned Value hiding behind critical activities'probably to be got the wrong result, it is essential to discriminate between them.CPM is the most typical method for project schedule. Under a large number of complex and repetitive information, it is as long as to seize key factor for the decision-makers in order to bring about substantive help. Based on this concept, there is a specific study on the critical path on the progress of the performance. On the one hand, from a qualitative analysis point of view, it is built into earned value system framework inset the critical path. In the theory of earned value performance, it is discussed the critical path on the progress of the performance and progress of the project performance, in order to get how to impact the progress of project. On the other hand, in the forecasting analysis, this thesis aims to provide a statistical approach using Weibull distribution function and the randomicity of schedule performance in the critical path to assess the project schedule performance; to forecast possibility of the implementation of schedule in critical path in order to predict the reliability of the progress of the completion. This can provide an effective tool for using SPI to evaluate schedule performance.
