This text has studied problems , such as Sichuan Highway Construction and the regional economic development level, and coordinating development degree, and development tactics and measure,etc, to offer the reference basis for Sichuan Highway Construction and the regional economic development in harmony.First of all, this text is based on theories of economics, area studying and position theory,etc, and research some relations, such as between traffic infrastructure construction and regional economy, between highway construction investment and regional economy growth, highway construction pull regional economy development, and the impact on highway construction of the regional policy,etc.Then, this text has studied the development of Sichuan regional economic and highway composition by main composition analytic approach. The result is that horizontal regional disparity in economic development and highway construction are very obvious . As a whole, level of the regional economy development and highway construction is suitable. But a few areas are exception, such as the states of Suining, Ya'an, Leshan, and Liangshan.Then, this text utilizes gray related degree of models to analyse and research the mutual coupling problems of Sichuan regional economy and highway construction, such as the man influence factors, mutual coupling regularity and stage characteristic.The result shows:(1) The relation between Sichuan regional economy and highway construction is very close, and the coordination development problems study between them are worth.(2) Type of coordination and break-in accounts for 19.05%, and resist short of moneyly accounts for 47.62%and low-level coupling accounts for 33.33%, therefore, coordinating highway construction and regional economy development in harmony is an arduous task.(3) Sichuan highway construction and regional economic development demonstrate the obvious fluctuation. According to its characteristic of fluctuating,the text divide its coupling's degree into two stages: First: 1996 - 2001, the overall trend was, besides 1997, the coupling intensity of highway construction and regional economy was improved year by year. Coupling degree of two systems is between 0.7269-0.8573.
