Since the Reform and Open Policy, the Private enterprise displays its unique questions in its rapid developing process. The instability of managers is an important factor which restricts the private enterprises development. Based on the study of the job stress, this article explores manager's stress conditions, sources of stress and methods to deal with problem etc. And some effective stress management strategy is made for the managers.In our country, with the importance of the job stress, many scholars pay more and more attention to this area. Stress management has become a research hotspot in recent years. Because the research is started lately in our country, it is only a short period of time more than ten years judging from the literature. In theory, the research is still in the tracking of foreign research results. It's a long way to form own theoretical system.At present, the study of job stress focused on teachers, nurses, doctors, civil servants, such as specific occupations staff with high stress. There is a little number studies of stress management for private enterprises. In the majority of studies, ideas and methods are to discuss the relationship between the job characteristics and the level of stress, or between the stress levels and the health. From organizational level and leadership level, the studies about occupational stress and stress management are only theoretical discussion or qualitative research.Based on the theories domestic and abroad, with the managers of private enterprises from Shandong Province as a sample, by the questionnaire surveys and statistical analysis, this study analyses the relationship among job stress and personal background, family support, corporate background, interpersonal relationships, organizational support of manager from private enterprises. It also analyses the characteristics of stress source structure, individual support, organizational support and the use of supports etc.With the results from first two parts (the theory of synthesis and investigate), for the managers of private enterprises, this study gives corresponding strategies both from the individual level (coping with stress such as assessment and prediction of stress, improving self-knowledge and ability, a good way of life, initiative in getting help etc.) and the organizational level (organizational interventions such as stress assessment and consultation, training and publicity of stress, job redesign and management of institutional change etc).As a result, this study provide useful recommendations for human resources management (stress management) of private enterprises.
