Research On Business Model Of Cloud Computing Based On Value Net

Internet development brought out many important technologies and concepts, e.g. Distributed Computing, Grid Computing, Virtualization, Web2.0 etc. These concepts reflected the innovation of the Internet, and pushed forward development of the Internet and generation of more new technologies and concepts in turn. Computing is turning to the web from isolated PCs after the transition between mainframe computer and individual computer.In the recent two years, while the rapid development of the Internet, Cloud Computing has become a hotspot therein. Being greatly concerned and promoted by most IT enterprises, Cloud Computing is turning from a concept into practices, and is becoming a new developing area of the IT industry. The current researches on Cloud Computing, which mainly focus on the technical architecture and application, rarely discuss important issues like the business model of Cloud Computing.The paper chooses to discuss this frontier subject of Cloud Computing. Based on both domestic and foreign research achievements, it systematically demonstrates the definition, characteristics and architecture of Cloud Computing from aspects of technology and hierarchy.And then, it analyzes market application of Cloud Computing, innovatively find the driving forces of the birth and further development of Cloud Computing (i.e. technology innovation, demand of low cost and influence of medium and small enterprises, intelligent and ubiquitous network), as well as points out the major problems thereof. Moreover, it predicts that as the trend of the industry development, Cloud Computing will orient towards unionization, standardization and industrialization and will be applied more comprehensively.Most importantly, with the theories of business model and value net, this paper constructs the value net model of Cloud Computing, and analyzes value creation, elements and their relationship of the value net. Furthermore, it proves the model by a case. At the end, it gives suggestion on strategies of Cloud Computing development.
