Currently China is facing the pressure of periodic economy adjustment. In 2008, US sub-loan crisis has caused global financial turmoil and world economical slowdown. Its impact on the real economy is being further spreading. This year the world economy is declining and lacking new growth points. The international economy downturn is reducing the foreign demand of our commodities. Under this situation, world trade protectionism is coming back. The external trade environment that we are facing is getting worse. In November 2008 for the first time we had negative growth on our imports and exports. This situation may continue for a period of time.In order to resist the negative effect of the international economy situation, China has adopted flexible, timely and prudent macroeconomic policies. We have taken a lot of measures to increase our internal demand and promote our economic growth.The small and medium-sized foreign trade companies are the main part of China foreign trade. It takes the strong responsibility of China's foreign trade. Their quality and strategic vision are not only related to their own development, but also related to the development of China's foreign trade. As the specialized foreign trade companies, the small and medium-sized foreign trade companies have advantages in many respects: they have more professional people, a wider range of information sources and more profound accumulation of information, bigger business ranges and more resources to clients. According to these companies'own characteristics, this article made a series of corresponding development strategies, which include: how to find customers by using trade fairs; how to avoid risks; vigorously promote e-commerce; implement strategic alliances; actively develop our imports; take the green markets; implement our export area diversities, and so on.
