Along with the improvement of China's vegetable productivity, vegetable industry has become an important sector for increasing farmers'income. Vegetable supply has changed form shortage to balance over time, and occurred structurally oversupply. People's living standard has improved remarkably. However, the quality of vegetable in China has been far lagged behind its quantitative supply for the unreasonable using of pesticide and fertilizer which have made the issue of harmful substances increasingly prominent. The quality safety of vegetable is undermining further development of the vegetable industry and affecting farmers'income increase, as well as threatening social stability and harmony.Through investigation and this paper analyzes main reasons for vegetable safety problem, and its impact on farmers'income growth. This paper focuses on the use and management of production inputs in vegetable production, explores effective vegetable quality controlling measures from the source, hence pushes forward the pollution-free production to improve vegetable quality and ensure the consumption safety, so as to enhance the marketing competitiveness of Qingzhou vegetables, improving agricultural efficiency and increasing farmers'incomeThis thesis looks into the main factors that affect Qingzhou vegetable quality safety through investigating the problems of the production, distribution of vegetables, production, operation, usage and management of such production inputs as pesticide, fertilizer and seeds. Based on the comparative study of the current situation of Qingzhou vegetable quality and safety control, this paper concludes that the internal factor is the unreasonable use of pesticide and fertilizer, and the external factor is farmers'poor education and loopholes in vegetable safety management. By studying the advanced vegetable quality safety management experience from other countries, this paper believes there are something should be done for improving our vegetable quality: e.g. enhancing the management of agricultural production inputs, vigorously promoting the scientific and reasonable application of vegetable production inputs, ensuring the technical training on vegetable production safety, tightening the test of pesticide remaining, pushing forward the certification of pollution free vegetable. In addition, creating vegetable brand is an important solution to ensure vegetable safety from the root.Through research, this paper believes that vegetable quality is controllable, vegetable quality is closely linked with farmers'income. Improving vegetable quality is a major channel to increase farmers'income. Securing vegetable safety is the requirement of social, economic and political development, and is also the necessary solution to construct modern agriculture and new socialist countryside.
