Study On The Competitiveness Of China Merchants Bank

Competence is the continuous accumulation of an effective portfolio of knowledge and capabilities and can be regarded as a type of dynamic capability.Research on commercial bank competence has always been a challenging topic of intense academic and practical interest.With the ever-accelerating economic globalization and financial integration,competence between commercial banks becomes more and more complex and dynamic.As one of the best share-held banks in China,China Merchant Bank(CMB) excelled during recent years' competence.Therefore,to study CMB's individual competitive power is significantly meaningful for the whole industry's future development.This paper is composed of five chapters.The first chapter is introduction,including background,purpose,innovation,disadvantage,content and framework of this paper, as well as the existing theories.The second chapter is the research on CMB's present competitive power.The third chapter is the research on CMB's potential competitive power.The fourth chapter is to analysis the environment that CMB is facing.In the end,a conclusion is drawn and a competitive strategy proposal is given in the fifth chapter,based on the results found in previous chapters.
