With the rapid development of foreign trade and ever-growing economic globalization,container transportation plays an important role in the filed of word transportation.However,the lack of transparency in the process of container logistics not only led to a low informationization level of container transport,which still remains in the level of automated operation,but also caused a series of incidents such as illegal migration,smuggling,etc.As main factors that restrict the development of container transport for a long time,these issues are not in line with the requirements of modern logistics-the transparent and real-time information.Started from the discussion of current problems and development trends of the container logistics and combined with modern logistics theory and cutting-edge information technology,this dissertation analyzes how to apply the RFID(radio frequency identification) technology in the information platform to solve the issues above.First of all,the author points out the traditional processes of container logistics and puts forward a new concept-a supply chain based on container logistics.The upper,middle and lower members and the core businesses in this supply chain are analyzed one by one,as well as the relationship and conflict between the members. Then the dissertation discusses four issues and three trends in the container logistics.Four issues refer to the safety,the efficiency,the specialized information services and the responsibility,and three trends include the value-added services,the intelligent management and visualized management.On the basis of the introduction of RFID technology,the author points out the advantages of RFID technology when it is used in container logistics,constructs a RFID-based container logistics system,and explains which level the information platform exists in and which function the information platform plays in this system.Finally,this dissertation integrates the lifecycle method and prototyping method in an appropriate way,analyzes and designs the information platform.By discussing the needs of each enterprise in the supply chain,the author explains its function demands.In accordance with these demands and taking the business processes into account,the input and output of every subsystem are designed,the system physical program is deployed,and the interface and database are also designed in details.This dissertation highlighted the changes on container logistics process and the new features of the system brought by the introduction of RFID technology.The problem that customers are not able to track containers in real-time is solved and the transparent container logistics process is realized.Moreover,the author applies B / S structure in the system construction that make the system more flexible and meet the demands of customers who needs to inquire cargo information anytime and anywhere. Third,given full consideration on the safety of the system design,in this dissertation, the members on the supply chain is classified into different levels.This solution not only meet the requirements of different customers but also guarantee the security and confidentiality of container information to some extent.The fourth,taking into account the client's individual requirements,the members of the platform can custom services according to their demands and enjoy related services.This program is supported by National Key Technology R&D Program" modern port logistics services demonstration project"(2006BAH02A17).
