An Empirical Study On The Key Influencing Factors Of Enterpreneurial Enviornment In Xiamen

Active entrepreneurship plays an important role in promoting the economic development of a country or region. Successful entrepreneurial activities not only bring individual wealth for the entrepreneur, but also fully promote social progress and economic development. Promoting entrepreneurship should be an important issue when government considers economic development. Entrepreneurial environment determines the activeness of entrepreneurial activity. Thus, creating a good entrepreneurial environment is one of the basic aims of government in achieving economic progress and employment increase.Based on the theory analysis of the entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial environment, the paper used the entrepreneurial environment evaluation framework which was established by Global Entrepreneurial Monitor(GEM), and then I put forward the research supposal of influence factors of entrepreneurial environment in Xiamen. According to the survey activity of city expert interview of China Entrepreneurship Monitor(CEM) in 2007, the paper proves the research supposal. The results show that four key factors influence the entrepreneurial environment in Xiamen, they are financial support, the government projects, entrepreneurial support and business environment. Finally, through the empirical analysis to the key influence factors, the suggestion is put forward to how to improve the entrepreneurial environment in Xiamen. Moreover, the research shortage is pointed out and future research directions are brought forward.
