A Study On The Exploitation Of Sports Tourism Resources In West Hubei

Sports tourism , an important part of modern tourism industry,is a newly-emerged industry with travel and sports characteristics , and will develop with the people's increasing awareness in the relationship between health and entertainment . Based on the above,this study, using such methods as literature study, expert interview, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and logic analysis ,probes into the distribution of tourism resources in West Hubei and the problem of theory and practice in the development of tourism resources in this area. It is well-known that west regions in Hubei province has important strategic position, because this area includes eight municipal and Zhou(area) with vast territory, abundant resources, balanced ecology, and cultural diversity. Due to history, geography, and other disadvantageous factors, this area is burdened with relatively backward economic and social development,and whether this area's comparative advantages can be digged out or not has great influence on the rapid development of the province overall. On the basis of illustration of the significance in developing sports tourism in West Hubei, the author discusses the exploitation of sports tourism resources in this region and the construction of West Hubei sports tourism circle, and finally puts forward corresponding strategies and countermeasures in reasonable development of sports tourism resources in West Hubei.
