With the international economy-depth development of globalization, international trade increasingly frequent. In recent years, China's sustained and rapid economic development, import and export volume has remained at the forefront of the world, which undoubtedly contributed to the international maritime transport and related rapid development of the logistics industry. It is expected that the worldwide volume of new building ships will reach the historic peak in 2010. In the fierce competition environment, in order to increase the market competitiveness and occupy the international shipping market, the shipping company must pay much attention and reconsider the new enterprise development strategy. Therefore, the company's development strategy is the primary problem for the shipping companies.Make use of the knowledge of management theory and business strategy as well as PEST, SWOT, Porter's Five Forces analysis, the author analysis the competitiveness and current situation of FE shipping company from the macro environment, the micro-environment and other deferent levels, find out the company's advantage, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges, identify the gap between the company and her competitors. Based on the above analysis, the diversified strategy was ascertained as the overall strategy of FE shipping company. And the specific blue print and implementation plan was given, followed by an analysis of the risk that may exist during the process of implementation, the risk for preventive measures also were provided.In this thesis, through PEST industry competitors analysis, made company clear their position and their industry competitors condtions in the external macro-environment situation, the company should improve their service quality, properly lay out their agent network and reduce operating costs, meantime, strengthen to set up long-term cooperative relations with the high-quality business owner.Through the company's operating status quo and internal environmental analysis, such as financial analysis and a unique competitive analysis, pointing out that the company's internal management deficiencies, to table some specific measures as to strengthen internal management, improve human resources management, enhance competitive advantage etc.Through SWOT and Porter's Five Forces analysis, find out the company's internal problems, such disadvantages as shortage of funds, fleets structure is irrational,irrational agent network,the loose management and weak execution etc.Company shoud make strategy on strategic financing, adjusting fleets structure,strengthening the talent-building strategy.Combined with Boston matrix analysis, which make us more clear on development of the company's strategic direction. Company should develop the dry bulk cargo transport as primary bisiness, deeply develop project cargo ships and general cargo ships, also should establish ocean group container fleets as assistant bisiness, support the company's freight forwarding industry and the agency's strategic development. On this basis, the company determines the company's development strategy for the next 5-year goals bass on integrating above diversified factors, and make detailed safe measurements of strategy target implement. Then, the thesis also analyzes the possible existing problem in the process of the strategy implementation,such as cargo sourcing market risk, fleets market risk, human resources market risk,vessels material supply market risk,capital market risk, then put forward specific measures to ensure the smooth implementation of the strategic program.In this thesis, the author try to integrate theory with practice and strive to do with a certain degree of operability, Hope that the same type of domestic industry play a role in the drawing.
