With its unique resource advantage and fulfilling people's wish of "Advocating green and returning to nature", Forest tourism conforms to the present demand of coordinating economic development with ecological development and has become the new trend of modern tourism. Fujian Province boasts rich resources of forest tourism, with forest coverage as high as 60.5%. However, Forest tourism enjoys a short history in Fujian Province, with its exploitation still at the elementary stage. Necessary construction for tourism transportation is far from well developed, with poor accessibility and security. Safety is the key issue that has a great impact on tourism policy and severely conditions the development of tourism. In China, there is quite limited research on tourism safety, especially research on transportation safety of forest tourism. Therefore, it is of great significance to carry out a research on transportation safety of forest tourism in Fujian Province. On the basis of investigation of forest tourism resources in Fujian Province, this thesis analyses forest tourism resource on four levels according to development suitability, by employing gradation analysis, and constructing an assessment system for Fujian forest tourism resources through combination of qualitative and quantitative evaluation. In this thesis, transportation safety index in Fujian Province is made the target of research. Investigations are carried out on transportation safety of 4 expressways, 5 national highways, and 17 provincial highways. By means of Grey Clustering Analysis, evaluation is made on the following four quotas, e.g., vehicle accident rates, vehicle death rates, vehicle injury rates, accident death and injury. 26 roads affecting Fujian forest tourism transportation are assessed according to four safety grades, namely, total safety, safety, critical safety, lack of safety. As for the roads belonging to the category of critical safety and lack of safety, renovation measures are proposed from the four perspectives of pedestrians, vehicles, road and environment.
