Demonstration About The Key Factors That Affect The Energy-consumption Efficiency

The economic development of our country has achieved a remarkable achievement since the"reform and opening-up", accompanied with which was the sharply increased energy-consumption. with the rapid development of energy- consumption,the provision of energy is becoming less day after day, at the same time,which is even more likely,the conflict between the provision and requirement of energy is more and more outstanding. The problem of energy has been become a bottleneck in the development of economic.However,to the fast full development of economic,energy is a necessary condition.Energy-consumption intensity is an important index to measure the quality of economic advancment,which reflect the integrated utilization efficiency of energy in the national economics.Thus,it has a valuable theoretic and practical meaning to investigate the key factors that affect the energy-consumption efficiency.This article is keeping track of the factors that working upon the energy utilization efficiency,and starting with the overall evaluation of the actuality of our country's energy consumption ,the first step is summarizing and qualitative analysis from the view of the influencing factors. Following it is: on the basis of statistical data from 1989 to 2007, mainly adopting the methods of econometrics,such as unit root test,cointegrate test,impulse response function, etc.the author reaearch the impacts on energy-utilization effiency coming from these factors such as techonology advancement,industrial structure,foreign trade,energy price,economic development by means of quantitative analysis,and test the cause and effect relationship between energy-effiency and its influencing factors.In the end,the author arouse the problems of economic development and energy consumption, caught the conclusion according to the demonstration,then gave the suggestions.There are many factors influencing our country's energy-consumption intensity while technology advancement and industrial structure has an obvious effect upon it. Export trade can influenc the energy-consumption intensity indirectly but energy prices is limited by pricing system of our country. Economic growth did not show a clear influence.In order to improve energy-utilization efficiency, one way is adjusting by means of advanced technology and scientific management,the other is adopting the methods of adjusting industrial structure and fluctuating energy pricing policy to improve the energy-consumption behavior voluntarily and to boost the manufacturing process converted from extensive economy to intensive economy, improve the qualities of economic development.
