The construction sector is labor-intensive one. The employee's qualification and unity is one of main sources of the corporation's competitiveness. Moreover, customers are more concerned about not only the products' quality but also their environment- friendly production process. Therefore, it makes the employee's capacity even more important.Hunan Construction Engineering Group is one of the oldest and largest stated-owned construction corporations with more than 60000 employees. It is one of the best corporations with good reputation in employee responsibility management and also faces great challenges due to the stated-owned enterprise reform. The paper studies for Hunan Construction Engineering General Corporation that is the core of Hunan Construction Engineering Group and is about how the corporation carries out its employee responsibility management.The paper follows a reasonable and feasible roadmap. Firstly, it has a theoretical analysis on necessity and significance of the corporation's employee responsibility management. Secondly, it keeps focus on employee responsibility management and summarizes the experience based on the corporation's current practice by the survey of literature and talking.and then analysizes the current situation of employee responsibility management contrast with SA8000 standard; The authour has a sample question investigated in order to test the practical effect, and the same time, has an total analysis to get a concolusion and know happened problems. Based on SA8000 standard, the conclusion drawn is that: the corporation's employee responsibility management system basically meets the requirement of international standard and also complies with the domestic labor law etc. Moreover, it makes most of employees happy with the corporation and also can improve the financial performance. In doing so, the corporation becomes more competitive and has won the honors from the public. However, according to the results of employee satisfaction survey, there are some areas where some employees are not satisfied with, such as salary and communication with the sectors. In addition, the corporation is suffering from some hot issues, such as optimizing the allocation of human resources, lacking of the career development planning, and the poor performance appraisal system etc. Finally, based on all above-mentioned, the paper proposes its recommendation on how to improve employee responsibility management in the corporation.
