Since the 21 st century, the business environment of construction industry which is as a perfectly competitive industry is increasingly complex. Along with the intense competition in construction market, construction enterprises especially construction project have been experiencing increasing risks and pressures. As the foothold of operating management of construction enterprises, engineering projects not only are the direct source of benefits, but also are the greatest potential source of risk. The management level of engineering projects will determine construction enterprises whether can achieve sustainable and healthy development. Therefore, how to strengthen project risk management has become a common proposition of many construction enterprises and a threshold which construction enterprises has necessarily crossed to achieve development.Based on its'special historical background, enterprise property and realities, the thesis shows project risk management of Hunan Construction Engineering Group, analyzes the problems on project risk management. Under the probability of occurrence, risk rating and negative consequences, considering on state-owned enterprises property, environmental factors and so on, the thesis screen to identify current and particular seven major risk factors of project, such as risk of operation, project responsible, quality safety, finance, human resource, legal and civilization. The thesis adopts qualitative and quantitative analysis and makes deeply research in seven major risk factors, to fully grasp the risk factors of root forms and probably negative consequences and pave the way for the design of project risk management program. Finally, it pointedly takes a different approach to risk handling and makes the corresponding risk management plan (avoidance, prevention, retention or transfer), to ensure really solve the problem and effectively prevent and control risks.In short, project risk management puts in a minimum costs to achieve maximum security management, whose purpose is to prevent and reduce the risk, to ensure and improve the overall efficiency of project. The thesis focuses on the research results of Hunan Construction Engineering Group, which broaden minds to enhance enterprise risk control of the project, improve the prevention and control of project risk, but also provides some reference for other peers to enhance risk management capabilities.
