| In the 21st century,the worldwide regional economic integration is under way.Aiming at taking the leading position of the world,national and regional economic policies have been readjusting actively.China committed to taking part in regional cooperation as an indispensable part of it's foreign strategy,the North-east Asia should have received due attention.Generally,the economic situation of northeast Asia keeps reversing and the political relationships have been improved greatly.Russian's foreign strategy is shifting towards the east.Japan is taking substantive action for regional economic cooperation.The relation between North Korea and South Korea is easing.North Korea shows their will to reform and takes oppen policy.These factors mentioned above have contributed to the new opportunity for the northeast Asian economic cooperation.In this region, Japan is a developed and industrialized country;South Korea is an emerging industrialized country;both are very important sources of capital and technology.Russia,North Korea and Mongolia also have their respective advantages in resources.Comparatively speaking,China is in a position that acts as a link and has many comparative advantages.The complementary economic relationship with other countries is the underlying conditions for China's participation in the regional economic cooperation.This paper is compiled based on international economics theory.Firstly the feasibility and the necessity for China to participate in regional economic cooperation was analyzed.The writer believes that the Northeast Asian regional economic cooperation has a major impact on China's foreign economic relations and China should actively participate in it.Then through the analyses of trade and investment data of recent years,it clarifies the undergoing bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation situations and points out the opportunities and challenges under the new situation.Furthermore,the future cooperation prospect is outlooked and some policy proposals made accordingly,such as how to promote the upgrading of the industrial structure,how to resolve the trade friction and how to promote trade balance and relax the political relationship. |
