| Train depots are the primary production units, and stations of which are the basic units in the railway network. Train depots are also the service windows geared to visitors and owner. It is important that the work proceeding of train depots will guarantee the earnings of the whole rail transportation system. In 2005, the national stations reforming reduced the train depots from 261 to 150, which is great significance for decreasing management levels, reducing management costs, improving transport efficiency, facilitating new technology equipments and strengthening security management. At the same time, the reforming added the average amount of stations administrated by the train depots to 31.9. As a result, the characteristics of many points and long line become more pronounced. Making the marketing efforts for passengers directly, the quality of the train depots work have a direct bearing on social services for the evaluation of rail transport.In this context, the train depots should review its role and status in the whole logistics activities in face of various transports modes competition and the rapid development of the logistics industry. It is important that the train depots expand functions from the traditional logistics to the modern logistics. To enhance competitiveness and serve the national economic development needs better; it is the inevitable choice that the train depots develop modern logistics.Based on the theory analysis of logistics and train depots, this dissertation demonstrates the necessity and feasibility of the transit. According to the actual situation of Zunyi train depot, we riposte that build Zunyi South Station into a logistics centre and other stations for freight service (the form of one logistics centre and a number of logistics service points), the railway line to link the network of integrated logistics system. Finally, this dissertation puts forward the necessary countermeasures. |
