According to which can form the motive to help our economy grows swiftly and uninterruptedly. In the dog-eat-dog market, that enterprise employs the human resource to obtain the competitive advantage reaches an agreement among the administrators and scholars, in the meanwhile, the small-medium enterprises focus on the performance evaluation as it is considered as the heart of the human resource. However, there are so many problems in the performance evaluation when the small-medium enterprises carry out it, especially in the design of the indicators system and the application in the performance evaluation. Due to this, it can not gain good result. This paper makes an investigation on the small-medium performance evaluation in such a backgroundAt first, this paper introduce the current situation of performance evaluation in the home and abroad, then present the principles and methods of performance evaluation and make a contractive analysis among the methods, in the second place, it gives a reference to the current situation of performance evaluation in the small-medium enterprises and analyzes the problems then put forward some measures. Finally,it uses A company as a case, analyzes the problems of the performance evaluation in the A company ,make an understanding on the satisfaction of the current performance evaluation though the questionnaire survey on the staff. Then, bring forward the relevant measures according to the investigation and study. In the end, it makes an appraisal on the new performance evaluation.Through the above research, the paper holds that the performance evaluation is an essential part in the human resource management, which plays a great role in evaluating and encouraging the staff, promoting the cohesion and competitive strength of the enterprise.
