With the approaching of knowledge economy, the technological innovation simultaneously brings immense impetus to the development of economy. The increase of corporate R&D input is very helpful for strengthening the corporate ability of self-innovation. However, the existences of China's enterprises have a serious shortage of R&D investment, which difficult to enhance its competitiveness. Therefore, on the condition that enterprise's confrontation in severe international competition, the research into impetus of technological innovation and exploration of how to increase corporate R&D input have a very vital realistic significance.This article analyzes the theory of enterprise technical innovation and the factors which influent the R&D in the external environment. In view of the situation of corporate R&D input in our country, it analyzes the problem of R&D investment, and the causes of these problems. Finally adopted the newest panel data of industry of Chinese industrial enterprises, focused on analyzing the effect of devotion of R&D from market demand, technology-driven, market competition, direct government subsidy with the fixed-effect model.The result shows that the market competition has no use to promoting investment of corporate R&D. Although the market demand, technology and government-funded have a positive impact on R&D investment of enterprises, but it is not strong enough. Finally this paper made a number of policy proposals to improve the external environment for enterprises, promote and encourage research and development investment.
