Our railway enterprises were faced with drastic market competition in the process of conversion from planned economy to market economy. Under this condition, a good job in the management of the company, especially a good job in the incentive work, could excite the enthusiasm and creativity of employees at different levels of the company, develop employees'potential power, and make the most of employees'ability and wisdom. And only by this, the employees could be encouraged and create more value and wealth for the company, the competition power of the company could be improved, and the company could win in the severe competition on market.This text takes the HEBEI JITIE group as research object, adopting research method of integration of theory with practice. Based on the current reformation and problems of performance appraisal and motivation mechanism in the HEBEI JITIE group, the article brawns forward the improvement scheme and measure. The article hopes it can provide some experiences for the state-owned enterprises.This article is consisted of five parts.The fist part briefly introduces the background,purpose and significance of the research.Then,it expounds and analyses the developing history and current situation of performance appraisal and motivation mechanism theories.According to the investigation and interview on the spot,the third part amply illuminate the current situation of performance appraisal and motivation mechanism in the HEBEI JITIE group,and analyses the reasons on the basis of relations of them.The fourth part deals with combining the demonstration analysis and theoretic research,educing the effective measures of ameliorating the performance appraisal and motivation mechanism of employees in the HEBEI JITIE group,including three parts of system guarantee,substance guarantee and culture guarantee.The last part obtains the conclusions,and shown direction for the farther research.
