The Study Of Communication Management In Software Project

The process of software development actually is to transform the manual work into the computer program. It is not like other production procedure, the software development do not have a real concrete visible raw material, but information. The purpose of software development is the process of information production, collection, dissemination and storage. Therefore, communication is not only the essential way of software project management but also a must for production method and working procedure.The software development processes is not like to produce a bolt or a nut, it has its own standard and inspection procedure. And there is a great flexibility in testing the software criterion, the difference is that whether the software is successful or not is in the user's mind. Therefore it is much difficult to describe before the developing. The only way to solve this realistic issue is to better coordinate with the project team and the user.The dissertation is based on the research of communication in project management and the software project management. It analyzes the existing problem of project management in communication from the aspect of personal and organizational. In the paper, system for the software development project is set up. The system is first distinguished the communication work which needs to be carried on in each software development process. Then it describes the content of communication in software development and also the communication method and medium, communication mode, communication process and Trans-Culture communication. Besides, it is proposed that communication between project relevant people should be strengthened. And also, a highly aligned project team can make the communication more effective. At the same time, some suggestion is made for the Trans-Culture communication and communication skills. Lastly, the paper analyzes and solves the communication problem in a real Japan oriented software outsourcing project.The research in this dissertation is meaningful both for running software development project successfully and effectively.
