Production Planning Management Based On Theory Of Supply Chain Management

In 21st century, enterprises from developed countries have taken the Supply Chain Management (hereinafter referred to as SCM) as an effective management method in the global competition. With the development of the information technology and the innovation of the management ideas, effective SCM is growing to be an important element which is benefit for the win of the market. Nowadays, the SCM is well practiced by all kinds of industries in the world. And soon people are noticing the benefits caused by SCM.SCM concerns four fields mainly in manufacturing industry: supply, production planning , logistics and demand .Production planning and control is one of the core parts of SCM, is a connection ligament which SCM's each joint links with each enterprise. Basically speaking , production planning and control is the biggest affected part which SCM can affect enterprise.Production planning and control plays a leading role in SCM. One side ,production planning and control is the information transformer of SCM. Information of company in SCM different points transfers through the production planning which changes demand information to supply information.The other side ,production planning and control is the adjustor of production and demand , which adjusts the relationship between production and supply effectively through production control process.The end ,production planning and control is the resources distribution center of SCM, which sends materil requirements information to all suppliers through production planning ,also sends supply goods information to the each distributor .Especially ,when the final purpose of running business activities in enterprise is to meet customer's requirements, production planning and control plays a very important role in the whole process of SCM .According to the theory of SCM and production planning management , linked with some general management ideas as well as author's practice, taking the management environment of modern enterprises as background, this article discusses a general rule of the production planning management under the SCM environment.
