Application Study On Project Management Of Automaker F's Self-development

Today, the pace of launching new product will have direct impact on the core competitive strength and survival of an enterprise, with the shorter updating cycle of auto product. All the auto makers in the world are applying the modern project management into new product development project with the purpose of shortening product development cycle, reducing development cost and improving competitive strength.The project management has already been successfully applied into auto product development by foreign auto makers. In Europe, U.S. and Japan, the auto makers have taken project management as their standard management method. However, Chinese automakers haven't established a systematic and efficient project management mode and the management for development project is still in initial stage. Therefore, it is of great significance to enhance overall development level of China's auto industry by exploring and researching a project management mode which fits self-development of China's auto product.In this paper, I analyze the theoretic basis, organization structure, management process and critical management method as well as measures of development management, based on the new product self-development of domestic auto makers. By applying project management and theory of ISO/TS16949, I combine the various management methods including project organization management, project plan management, project schedule management, project cost analysis management, project quality management, project HR management and project risk management with Project A's self-development process of auto maker F, and carry out application research to analyze and explore the operation mode for China's auto self-development project management. Based on the experience and deficiency, I present the countermeasures and advices for auto maker F's future self-development project management: establish enterprise-level project plan and control process; establish complete project management system and standardize project management process. I also bring forward my vision of introducing multi-project management system and setting up RPM system supporting project management.The above research and advices of auto self-development project management could be used by auto maker F for references, and also good experience for China's auto self-development project management.
