In recent years, periodicals industry in China faces enormous challenges, contests consumers with the press, the television industry, networks and other media. In the internal industry, there are over 1,000 journal enterprises entering the market in China, and the competition is also drastic. Facing the competition, how to motivate staff to complete corporate strategy has become a key issue, but in the Journal enterprises, as an important means of incentive, the salary management, does not have strong capacity of incentive, particularly for the editorial staff, who create core values for enterprises. It leads to the lack of initiative of editors and the high rate of quit in journal enterprisesThis paper is for the salary incentive to editors of journals. First, it summarizes the theories of salary incentive, reviews the stage of development of theories of salary management, and sorted out the status quo of theories of salary incentive and salary incentive to the journalistic in China. Based on those above, this paper combines the status quo, analyzes the competitive strategy and human resources strategy which should be taken, establishes the salary incentive system and chooses the right salary system. There are theoretical analysis and case analysis in this paper.The main points are as follows:1)Through the review and sum-up of the history and development of salary incentive, this paper takes the salary incentive as a functional incentive, and supposes it holds the human resources strategy of enterprises, and the human resources strategy has to base on the corporate strategy.2)According to the status of research journals enterprises, it appears that if the incentive mechanism for core talent of is distempered, the competitiveness of enterprises will be greatly reduced. When establish salary incentive program, it is necessary to differentiate the core talents, and to consider them firstly. In determining the salary level, it is necessary to guarantee the salary level of core talent higher than average salary level in journal enterprises.3)According to trend of development of the Journal enterprises, this paper finds out that the structure of flat organizations is suitable for Journal editorial staff. Flat organizations transfer information fast, encourage learning and innovation of staff, as well as teamwork. So, flat organizations'features match the features of the work of journal editors.4)Broadband salary suits to the editors of journals enterprises, and can lay the foundation for salary incentive. Broadband salary supplies people on the lower position with the opportunity to get higher pay, better solves the problems of "Peter Heights"and weak sense of team, and has the function of incentives.5 ) As to the salary system for editors of journals enterprises, the performance-based salary system should replace the position-based salary system. Team of journal editorial staff functions more and more, and the difference between positions becomes blurred, and only the performance-based salary system can preserve the justice of internal enterprise, as well as the function of incentive.There are three innovative points in this paper:1) Studies of human resources of journal enterprises in China are limited. There are few researches of salary and incentive system, few researches of incentive to journal editorial staff, and few systemic solutions. According to the characteristics of strategy of enterprise and human resource, as well as the exist research results, this paper establishes the strategic salary system for the journal enterprises, and brings forward scientific and reasonable salary incentive pattern.2) There are many researches of the matching of human resource strategy and corporate strategy in recent years. This paper studies the deep-seated reasons for the problems faced by journal enterprises, finds our whether the corporate strategy matches the human resource strategy, matters with the competitiveness of enterprises, and provides the argument for the research of the matching of human resource strategy and corporate strategy.3) Based on the analysis of cases, this paper applies the salary incentive pattern, and expatiates the details of implement. So, this paper has practical value. Sincerely hope that this paper could be helpful to the human resources management in Journal enterprises, and make the enterprises combine strategy with people, and establish effective salary incentive program.
