In recent years, the truck industry in China has developed fast, while it is facing violent market competition at the same time. In order to enlarge their market quota in the market, the truck manufacturers try all their best to reduce the price, increase the configuration, improve the product quality, and reinforce the after-sale services. The truck consumers are more and more rational than before. What they care about is the over-all quality of the truck instead of only price and appearance. The over-all quality of the truck has become the lifeline of all the truck manufacturers, and how to control the over-all quality is really a tough question to all the truck manufacturers. The product quality has direct relation with the supplier's capability. The supplier has become a strategic jetton, and the management of the suppliers can efficiently strengthen the competitive power of an enterprise. The one, who has the suppliers with unique advantages, will get the competitive advantage. Strengthening the management to the suppliers can shorten the deliver period, improve the product quality, reduce the cost, and promote the ability to meet an emergency in the market competition. Doing well in the performance evaluation of the suppliers can optimize the supplying network of the enterprise and improve the competitive power of the products in the market. Therefore, the management of the suppliers is very crucial. The core of the management of the suppliers is how to evaluate the comprehensive capability of the suppliers, for which can efficiently prevent the quality degeneration brought by the incapability of the suppliers. However, in the actual operation, the evaluation to the suppliers is too subjective and the operation is not normalized, which brings great loss to the enterprises. Whereas, on the basis of the research achievements on supplier evaluation both home and abroad, combining the actual management in the truck enterprises, the author establishes an evaluation model which can well meet the actual needs of the truck manufacturers. The research aim of this paper is to normalize the operation of supplier evaluation and well control the product quality of the suppliers objectively. The main achievements of this paper are in the below: Firstly, analyze the factors which affect the product quality of the suppliers and establish a set of supplier evaluation index system which is suitable for the truck enterprises by analyzing and summarizing the former research achievements; Secondly, on the basis of comprehensively analyzing the current methods of evaluating the comprehensive capability of the suppliers, combining the current situation of the supplier management in the truck enterprises, the author puts forward the idea of evaluating the comprehensive capability of the suppliers by adopting the method of fuzzy level; Thirdly, establish the supplier evaluation model as well as the evaluation matrix to get the weight vector. Fourthly, put forward the graded method and make it validated by raising some examples. The analyzing result shows that the established supplier evaluation model is very much meaningful for the truck enterprises to evaluate the comprehensive capability of their suppliers, and can efficiently avoid the irrationality in selecting suppliers only by experience and subjectivity.
