Human resource is the most important in enterprise, and performance appraisal is the core of human resource management. It is the key factor to improve human management, perfect encourage rules, realize strategy objective, to help staff developing. Therefore, researching the performance appraisal and planning the suitable performance appraisal of enterprise have important practical significance. M company is joint ventures of China and Japan. After opening on December 2008, the total sales every year is increasing. The total sale in 2007 is five times of 1998.According to research of performance appraisal, this article based on the different cultural in joint ventures of China a Japan and retail present situation in Fujian, plan performance appraisal of my company. The full text altogether divides into five parts. The first part put forward the aim and background of researching. The second part elaborates the connotations of performance appraisal and performance management and the relations between the two, and has outlined related theories and its application in the performance method. The third part introduces the basic situation of M company, makes the diagnosis to the present situation of performance appraisal. The forth part introduces in detail how to design indices for the company, the department and the staff on three levels. The fifth part evaluates the effect of new performance appraisal. At last the thesis made a reasonable analysis about the new performance appraisal system and draws a conclusion.
