Human resources is the source of wealth of society like natural resources, whichdetermine the creation of wealth of society. With the development of socialeconomy, more people realize that the human is a kind of resources, which is requiredby the creation of wealth of society. Therefore, more and more enterprises attach greatimportance to the work of human resource management, which also become the coreof enterprise operation. How to make the performance evaluation to help enterprisesto develop, to improve the overall efficiency of enterprises, has become the enterpriseoperators and managers eager to pursue. Therefore, it is necessary to construct performance evaluation system,which is based on the enterprise strategy.Performance appraisal is the important part of human resources management,how to design their performance appraisal system, the maximum to stimulate thestaffs enthusiasm, initiative, improve employee satisfaction, make the enterprise toobtain the competitive advantage of human resource management, is the enterprisehuman resources management core link. This research is divided into six chapters,respectively from the research background and the significance, relevant theories ofperformance appraisal, creation of the method and norm of performance evaluation,the analysis of situation about our country’s retail business performance appraisal,case studies of Nanjing Central Emporium’s performance appraisal, suggestions ofimprovement of our retail business’s performance appraisal.In this paper, performance appraisal theory is as the instruction.Nanjing Central Emporium is as the case, the situation of Nanjing Central Emporium’s performanceappraisal is analyzed, the problem of Nanjing Central Emporium’s performanceappraisal is also analyzed, at last, the paper designs the system of Nanjing CentralEmporium’s performance appraisal again. Based on the case, the paper provides thesuggestion of how to improve the system of our country’s performance appraisalabout retail enterprises. This can promote the healthy, harmonious, high quality andefficient development of China’s retail enterprises, improve enterprise performanceand other areas.So it has a certain guidance and practical significance.
