This study collects materials though questionnaire survey. Based on the relevant theories of sociology (Social Stratificati, socialization, modernization) and Scientific Literacy, it aims to examine the differences of Scientific Literacy of the citizenry.The first part includes the study background, the literature review, the conceptualization and the operation of concept. In addition, the framework, the hypothesis, and the research method of this study are also mentioned.The second part examines the actual states of the citizenry'Scientific Literacy. It aims to describe and analyze the citizenry'Scientific Literacy in three aspects, including the knowledge level, the attitude tendency and the ability of exercise.The third part examines the differences of Scientific Literacy in different citizenry stratum. It tries to study the differences of the citizenry who have the different condition rank, antecedents status, career status and income status.The fourth part examines the factor which mainly effects Scientific Literacy of the citizenry, using multiple statistical analysis. It is illustrated that the effect of condition rank to Scientific Literacy is main and independent.The last part examines the conclusion and discussion of this study. It includes three conclusions. Firstly, the level of citizenry'Scientific Literacy is middling now. Secondly, the Scientific Literacy is one of the important standards to district stratum. Thirdly, the Scientific Literacy level between natural science and social science is not consistent. Besides, the significance of developing citizenry'Scientific Literacy are also illustrated. As well, the innovation, the significance and the limitation of the study are included in this part.
