By analyzing the operational status of China Post sites from four aspects - distribution networks, business, mode of operation and marketing strategies, this paper points out the existing problems of the operation model of China post sites: irrational distribution networks and construction, uncompetitive profit-oriented businesses, inefficient operation as a result of mixed businesses monomers and traditional marketing methods. Through SWOT analysis, this paper proposes reform measures in the operation models of postal sites: On the distribution networks and construction, by considering the basic communications services, reducing costs, material and human factors, China post should select rationally to build new sites, modify existing sites or develop agent networks under unified decoration and internal layout. In business, it should develop more customer-oriented, personalized and profitable businesses. In operating mode, it should apply modern management style as professional management and chain operation. In marketing strategy, it could adopt the overall implementation of special marketing, big clients marketing, marketing concepts, brand marketing, multi-channel marketing and other marketing programs. Furthermore, the paper discusses reform measures of the postal network management, the department of human resources, the department of finance and the department of information which support the operation of post sites.
