With the development of Chinese economics and the globalization, the port industry of China grows at full speed. The location of the port and the facility of the transportation lead to the development of the port-centered industry. The port-centered industry accelerates the development of the economic, and at the same time it gives a great support to the development of the port.The 50% GDP of the whole world come into being in the areas which are nearby the port. As far as we know, most of the countries or cities that developed up-growth heavy industries have connect with a large port. For example, Singapore has built the third biggest center of oil refining relying on its great port. The port of Rotterdam and its port-centered industries give a 34% contribution to the GDP of the city. And in the Los Angles which locates in the west coast of the United State, 70% of its benefit comes from the port-centered industries.In recent years, the economic zone of Tianjin has a high speed economic development. The increasing rate of the GDP is 20% each year that is far beyond the rate of the whole country. In 2005, the economic zone of Tianjin's whole year GDP is 160.863 billion RMB, and is responsible for 43.9% of the GDP of Tianjin.In this paper, port-centered industry would be part of the research point and the study port-centered industries' development of the port of Tianjin and some of the famous port around the world helps to find out the relationship between the industries and the port. Form the regular study, it would be easier to analysis the future of the economic zone of Tianjin and make the port-centered industry flourish the port more effectively.
