Ferroalloy is major raw material of iron and steel industry, and basic material of national economy development and people's necessaries of life as well. Ferroalloy industry met important chances and challenges after the millennium, especially in recent years. Rapid growth of domestic enterprises, short supply of global resource and energy, deepening of economic integration bring complex, varied and keen market competition. With the background of heavy redundancy of capacity, the supply exceeding the demand and irrational distribution of industries, what strategy numerous minor ferroalloy enterprises can make, how to integrate and enhance competition ability, and how to save resources and energy become the issues which enterprise must solve in advance and focal points of this paper.This paper studies minor ferroalloy enterprises with qualitative and quantitative system analysis, on the basis of practice and theory of modern management, especially strategy management. This paper analyses competition set-up and present interior and external situations of ferroalloy industry. Furthermore, this paper uses porter's model of industry competition structure to study a typical medium-sized ferroalloy company. The author makes strategy for minor ferroalloy enterprises on practice and outcome of Tianjin Hengkang Business Co. Ltd, and makes measures and suggestions on reducing costs, improving productivity, increasing profit margin, saving and using present resources efficiently.
