Research On EMS Supply Chain Optimization

This article was a case study of S project in EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Service) industry which focused on OTD (On Time Delivery) and inventory management. By analyzing and diagnosing it's supply chain, the author brought forward the proposal to improve supply chain flexibility and reliability through promotion of VMI (Vendor Management Inventory),JIT (Just In Time) purchase,Lead Time Reduction together with MRP parameter resetting and implementation of MRP simulation techniques.After one year of implementation and improvement, the OTD and inventory performance was satisfactory to both customers and EMS itself.
