Content:The shijiazhuang-taiyuan line is the first state-owned narrow-gauge railway in China.In 1907 the shijiazhuang-taiyuan line was completed and opened to traffic. It affected each aspect of social economy life in the region along the railway line,became the powerful engine to promote the local economic society developed.The article first inspected the railroad own development process, including construction process,influence to the regional transportation pattern, operation condition as well as restriction factor and so on.Especially it has made the thorough careful analysis inspection to shijiazhuang-taiyuan line operation conditions from 1907 to 1937. The freight transportation primarily, the passenger transportation for vice-is the shijiazhuang-taiyuan line transportation's main characteristic, this also conforms to the railroad principles of economy.The frequent war and the turbulent political situation, geographical environment's restriction, the faulty operation and management is the primary factor restricting the shijiazhuang-taiyuan line's development.The coal resource along shijiazhuang-taiyuan line is rich.Tap coal resource is the primary causes to construct shijiazhuang-taiyuan line.Between the railway transportation and the mining industry development has the close relation.Railroad promoted the coal industry development, the coal industry's development to provide the important source of goods for the railway transportation.But the coal industry along the railway wasn't unrestrained development, warlord regimes and the civil wars among them, the war were frequent, the fund shortage, the ill management, the coal production and marketing cost was soaring, the freight car lacked, to restrict coal industry's development.Railroad promoted regional commercial prosperous and the cities prosperity effectively.Along with the railroad construction and mining development,the West manufacturing technique spread, sped up the urban development speed, has adjusted the internal structure of urban development. While the railroad bring the physical distribution and information flow to the region along the railway, also bring the giant stream of people, caused population agglomeration in local, the business activity was frequent day by day.Therefore these region along rail line which have the important geographical superiority stand on the rapidly expand, but those is far away from the railroad or no longer was in the business central position to decline relatively because of the railroad construction.Railroad promoted the local grain market formation, causes grain this staple commodity to realize the reasonable debugging in interzone.Railway communication's development promoted formation of the market network with a core of railroad, but railroad's construction don't change traditional market network radically, the traditional market network still has played the influential role in certain space.
