The Research On Logistics Development Strategy In Central China

Modern logistics industry is the result of economic globalization and deepening the society of dividing work, and the level of its development is an important signal which evaluates synthetic economic level of the regional economy. Regional logistics system is an important component of regional economic system. Regional economic integration can make reasonable layout for regional logistics and adapt to reasonable layout of industrial structure, which can lower logistics cost and promote the development of regional logistics. It can push the development of regional economy to establish regional logistics system on the foundation of regional economic cooperation.Therefore, how to use regional economic theory and strategy analysis method to improve the service level of regional logistics, reduce the logistics cost, enhance the logistics rationalization, promote the investment environment, and push the development of regional economy under the background of regional economic integration has been the new direction of modern logistics research.Since Prime Minister Wen Jiabao proposed "Rise of Central China"strategy on March 2004, the central China has been faced with huge development opportunities, especially logistics. To push the logistics development quickly, it not only needs to enhance the company management to improve the competitiveness from the microscopic level, but also formulate rational and efficient strategy, and create a relaxed policy environment,encourage and support the logistics development from the macroscopic level.Governments at all levels in central China pay more attention to the development of regional logistics. The thesis is based on "The Research on the Coordination Mechanism and Development Strategy of Transportation Logistics in Central China" project which is the soft science research of Ministry of Communications in 2006.First of all, the thesis begins with theories of regional logistics and regional economic, mainly discusses the relationship between them. Then, describes the present situation of logistics in central China. Through it, decide the Strengths,Weaknesses,Opportunities, Threats factors to logistics development in centural China and make the index system, use AHP to decide the index quote, use strategy quadrilateral to decide the strategy style, at last, take specific measures to implement the strategy.During the period of research, comprehensively use SWOT analysis and strategy quadrilateral to make the research practicabile, targeted and operable, providing some ideas to formulate logistics development strategy for the government.
