As the international specialization developed from inter-industry, inter-product to the process and linkages of production of various goods (i.e., intra-product specialization), the world economy has been seeing a new wave of globalization: service globalization. In the era of service-globalization when international trade, foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and network information have become the major bond for the world economy, transnational corporations (TNCs) are playing a predominant role in the international economy. The international service transfer (IST) by TNCs has greatly reshaped the old industrial structure of world economy. In recent years, the great achievements by such forthgoers as India and Ireland in their acceptance of IST have aroused China's government much attention to IST. However, recently there were too much research from macro-country view and little research from micro-venture view on IST in academe. Therefore, at the threshold of service globalization, analyzing the law of IST and putting forward the reasonable suggestion for China to take over IST from the corporation's microcosmic point of view possess great significance both theoretically and practically.Firstly the paper systematically describes the background of IST from a historical view of economic globalization, then in the light of the latest theories about globalization, the author introduces a theoretical framework, in line with which, this paper reveals the essence of IST.Chapter 3 analyses the IST's microcosmic manifestations as well as their interrelation in order to introduce the concrete content of the TNCs'micro-operations.Chapter 4 exposes the IST's microcosmic motivations as well as its benefits through the phenomenon of TNCs'trans-national operations, so as to grasp the latent law of IST by TNCs further.Chapter 5 turns into China's reality in accepting IST and analyses it on the level of micro-operations of China's ventures. Relative suggestions are given based on the view of service marketing.
