Study On The Rural Construction Of Network Platform For Electronic Agriculture In Jilin Province

At present, the urban-rural dual structure phenomenon is evident in Chinese development, and it exists not only in the traditional social, economic and cultural sectors, but also significant existing in the use of the Internet, which emerged less than 20 years ago. It is of great importance to pay attention to develop the Internet in rural areas, which will lead to the effective bridging of the digital divide between urban and rural areas, promoting the construction of a new socialist countryside, accounting for the agricultural issues and realizing a harmonious society.This paper investigated the issues involved in the development of e-agricultural platform in rural areas in Jilin Province. The paper discussed the e-agricultural concept, based on the theories of e-commerce and e-government and in connection with agricultural development situation in the rural areas. The current status in the construction of e-agricultural platform in rural areas in Jilin Province was analyzed by using methods such as questionnaire, interview and statistical analysis, and major factors and issues restricting the development of e-agricultural platform were identified through analyses of the websites operated by rural governments. The demand for the construction and development of e-agricultural platform for rural areas in the Province was investigated, and the necessity of developing such platform was discussed respectively from three aspects. The general strategy for the development of e-agricultural platform for rural areas in Jilin Province was put forward by considering the real situation of the Province, including construction force and service targets. Seven modes were summarized and four suggestions were put forward for the construction and development of the e-agricultural platform for rural areas in Jilin Province.The conclusion of the paper can be used for reference by relevant authorities for constituting public policy and promoting the construction and development of the e-agricultural platform for rural areas in Jilin Province.
