Study Of Privatization Of Urban Public Transport And Government Supervision

Urban public transport as a part of urban public utilities, is introducing reform mode of privatization gradually to realize high efficiency in supplying public goods. But both particularity of market and social publicity of urban public transport decide that particular attention should paid to privatization of urban public transport, to prevent deviation to appear in process of privatization and cause great social influence. Government is both main promoting body and reformed object of privatization. After privatizing, how to orientate the position of government, what responsibilities should be assumed, and what kind of role should be played in process of privatization etc., are deserved to research and discuss.Some superficial research and discuss has done in aspect of the intrinsic link of privatization of public transport industry and government control of made,for promoting the privatization reform in the areas of public transport, provided a theoretical demonstration and policies to help, and combine with reform of urban and rural public transport in Changshu as analysis example to carry out empirical research,not only confirmed the theory conclusions of the relationship between privatization and government control, but also provided direct guidance for the current ongoing reform of urban and rural public transport in Changshu.
