Manufacturing enterprises are the basis of our country. The competence of manufacturing enterprises is the basis of our country's international competence. So, it's of vital importance to study the competence of manufacturing enterprises.Core competence is the ability to operate efficiently within the business environment and also the ability to respond to challenges. In order to respond to challenges surrounding their business, managers are dedicating to build their core competencies.The third part logistic (3PL) is the best way to reduce the cost and enhance the core competence of manufacturing enterprises. It is called"the third profits headspring". 3PL develops well in the western countries and contributes to the benefits of west enterprises. But in China, it is a new industry and needs more attention to its development. Core competencies are the collective learning which guides business owners and workers in how to best coordinate diverse production skills and integrate multiple streams of technologies. Furthermore, it is the ability to communicate and be involved in and committed to working across organizational boundaries. It involves many levels of people and the entire array of business functions.In this article, we'll discuss the theoretic basis of manufacturing enterprises using 3PL, and how 3PL benefits the manufacturing enterprises. And there are also examples of manufacturing enterprises using 3PL to enhance their core competence.In the end of this article, there is a conclusion that it's the best choice for manufacturing enterprises to using 3PL to enhance their core competences. And there are also some suggestions for 3PL to develop itself fast.
