It is false that only depending on the price competitive without benefit. China United Telecommunications Corporation Gan Su Branch ("Gan Su Unicom" in simple) must strive to build sustainable competitive advantages; those that succeed deliver hige customer value and satisfaction. Competitors cannot or will not match its profitability. The direction of development and realization of object in enterprise management mainly depend on the strategic management. The aim and meaning of this assay is to give a reference on building an operative and suitable competition strategy of the enterprise in order to keep a continuous development, though the analysis of the enterprise's future and the environment of Gan Su Unicom.The companies profitability depends on the three elements: profit, value-create on ability, internal operations, and competitive advantage. At least three aspects must be included in an integrated competitive strategy-management process. The first is environmental scanning and stakeholder. The second is competition analysis and strategy selecting. The third is the strategy formulation and strategy implementation. The competitive strategy is made to provide guidance for the company on how to compete in the market, what the competition object is and how to carry out the strategy.Based on the analysis of the present conditions of Gan Su Unicom in recent years, the research on the main problems in operation, this thesis, proposes strategies and tactics needed in the present operation of Gan Su Unicom.
