Study On Food Security Warning System In China

The grain issue is very important to the national economy and people's livelihood. Food security is a key part of national economy security. The research on the food security warning system can play a great role in ensuring food security and guild the national macro control.Firstly, the property of grain is focused on analyzing, and the property of public goods of food security is provided. Ensuring food security is the government's duty. Secondly, the factors influencing the supply and demand for grain are discussed. Cultivated land resource is an important base influencing the available grain self sufficient capability. In China, the pressure of grain demand becomes greater and greater in the 21st century owing to the continuous population growth and income increase. Conflict between population and land will become more acute because scarce cultivated land will be partly transformed irreversibly into non-agricultural uses in the process of the speedy industrialization and urbanization and economic development.. The relatively shortage of grain supply will be a basic feature in the relation of supply to demand of grain in the mid and long run in future. Lastly, based on factor analyze, a new food security warning system is provided. Then, using the system, the paper evaluates the status of food security.
