| Based on the PMMM model, we analyzed the engineering project management processes and evaluated the engineering project management departments in Hebei Unicom, we came to a conclusion that they are at level 3 of PMMM. Taking into consideration of the above analysis and evaluation, a framework of engineering project management is proposed for Hebei Unicom, which consists of three levels: analysis level, execution level, and supporting level. This framework covers all the project management processes in Hebei Unicom and provides a set of feasible scheme for all engineering project management activities. At the end of this paper, we propose an evolution path for the engineering project management capability in Hebei Unicom. Also proposed are the positioning and functionality of the engineering project management departments within the corporation. At the end of this paper, we also summarized insufficiency and further consideration of our proposal. |
