| At this new economical time in 21 Century, Chinese exploration and design profession faces some new opportunities with the developing of China's market economic reforms. At the same time, it also meet some pressure and challenges after the accession to WTO. Therefore, in order to keep the competitive advantage and find a suitable way for SMEDRIC(Southwest Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute of China), drawing up a complete and farsighted developing strategy to direct an overall macro-behavior for an enterprise and study a scientific strategy is the most important for SMEDRIC. In fact, this is the purpose and aim in this paper.All the study about this paper is based on Strategic Management. At first, we should collect a large number of materials as more as possible. According to a learning for the situation of Chinese exploration and design profession, this paper provides finds some problems with SMEDRIC and makes an introduction and analysis about the basic environment, internal structure, financial condition and employees. Next, on the base of the exterior environment and internal environment in our enterprise, we can point out the opportunity, threat, strength and weakness by SWOT matrix analysis to draw up a viable developing strategy. That is" to do a powerful and executive main industry and develop EPC(Engineering Procurement Construction) powerfully, try to develop the investment, financing construction and engineering project". SMEDRIC will be one of the most powerful enterprise of TOP 10 in China's municipal and design profession, at that time, it will be an international engineering group which has such ability on EPC. |
