The Correlation Study Between The Foreign Direct Investment And The Adjustment Of The Industrial Structure In China

In the 21st century, economic globalization is becoming a key trend of economic development in the world and the movement of production factors is faster and faster. These make resource allocation is optimized over the whole world. China's entry into WTO in 2001 implies that China will participate in the process of economic globalization. Under these circumstances the "going out" strategy is taken as a portion of China's unalterable policy of opening to the outside world. And it is the essential way for Chinese enterprises to become big and strong.The most important aspect of "going out" strategy is to develop FDI. At present China's FDI is at its initial stage, it has the special vital significance to emphasize the FDI to promote the domestic industrial structure. It is well known, our country's industrial structure is not reasonable, the overall quality of the industry is still low, the duty that adjustment of the industrial structure is quite arduous. Thus generally speaking, we do not have the precondition of which the domestic industrial structure in the high scale to carry out the foreign direct investment. On the contrary, we hope that can impel the adjustment and optimization of the domestic industrial structure through the establishment of the international production system. Based on this consideration, I choose this issue to study to make some breakthroughs in this field and make it have leading meaning to practice.Under economic globalization, this paper studies the impact of the FDI to the adjustment of Chinese industrial structure from both the theory and empirical research. First, describing the theories about the FDI and the adjustment of the industrial structure in the investing countries, and a general analysis is made about the mechanism of the FDI to the adjustment of the industrial structure. Then, Empirical study of the Japanese and South Korean foreign direct investment for investors'adjustment of the industrial structure and their relationship, combining the Chinese specific condition of the industrial development status to make a empirical analysis, through international comparative analysis to identify the problems. Finally, based on the forecast of the future trend about Chinese industrial structure's development , proposed the Chinese industrial program about FDI in the new context of the reform, to upgrade Chinese industrial structure through the FDI in a more efficient way, and to promote Chinese economic development in a sustained,steady way.
